Coastal Erosion: State-wise Coastal Area under Erosion, Accretion and Stable, between 1980 to 2018
The dataset contains state-wise compiled data on the length of coastal area which has undergone erosion, accretion and stable from the year 1990 to 2018 in India. Notes: According to NCCR: 1. The high, moderate and stable erosion of coastal areas stand for areas undergone erosion by over -5 meters, -5 to -3 meters and -1 to -3 meters, respectively, every year. 2. The high, moderate and stable accretion of coastal areas stand for areas undergone accretion by over 5 meters, 5 to 3 meters and 1 to 3 meters, respectively, every year. 3. Length of shoreline given in the data is based on 1:25000 scale imageries, excluding river/creek mouths, etc.
