The Corporate Social Responsibility concept in India is governed by Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 (Act), Schedule VII of the Act and Companies (CSR Policy) Rules, 2014 wherein the criteria has been provided for assessing the CSR eligibility of a company, Implementation and Reporting of their CSR Policies. This Collection contains datasets on expenditure details, project reports, registration details of companies under CSR Note about discrepancies: Any discrepancies in the data between the MCA's CSR portal and this dataset are due to certain duplicate entries in the MCA CSR portal. In some of these cases, the company name appears differently, even though the CIN is the same. As per the official source, the data for both companies is exactly the same. Further, company names that were repeated due to non-standard formatting, such as extra spaces or other data-cleaning issues, have been standardised. For instance, S. B. MULTIMEDIA PRIVATE PRIVATE LIMITED was standardised to S. B. MULTIMEDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, and R E-ROGERS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED was standardised to R.E. ROGERS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED as the same company had duplicate entries with minor variations in names and with same CIN. Other notes: 1. The CSR Official Portal is updated on a regular basis as companies submit their CSR disclosures. Consequently, the CSR data for FY 2024–25 available on Dataful will continue to be updated as new information becomes available on the official portal. 2. Please note that there may be discrepancies in the units for the project_amount_outlay and amount_spent columns. All the values & units in the datasets are shown exactly as presented in the source. 3. Year-wise count of companies in this dataset may not match with that of the original source as the duplicate entries for each year were removed in this dataset. The original source had duplicate rows for hundreds of companies. 4. Nec/Not Mentioned means Not Elsewhere Covered 5. Pan India means companies either did not specify the names of States or indicated more than one State where projects were undertaken 6. All India is different from Pan India. All India means all States put together or total of all the states 7. CIN is the unique field, not the company name
