The data shows the All India and Year and Education stage-wise distribution of number of teachers in educational institutions. This includes the number of Teachers in Primary, Upper Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary, University and College level. Note: 1. Data for Higher Educational Institutions is till 2023-24 only. 2. Total data for number of teachers in primary schools in 2012-13 contains data for Primary School Teacher & Upper Primary School Teacher. Data for 2012-13 has been taken from NUEPA, New Delhi. 3. Data for 2012-13 has been taken from DISE database and the figures may not tally with the earlier series.
