All India and Year-wise number of significant events reported in Operating Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs)

This dataset contains the All India and Year-wise number of significant events reported in Operating Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). AERB requires NPPs to report certain events that occur in the plant which have or may have impact on operational safety. Based on established reporting criteria, Event Reports (ER) and Significant Event Reports (SER) are submitted to AERB. The SERs received from operating NPPs are rated on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES) of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The INES rates events at seven levels (1 to 7) depending on their safety significance, with 1 being an anomaly and 7 being major accident.
