Year wise Quarterly Share of Foreign Tourist Arrivals in India by Nationality

This dataset presents a nationality-wise quarterly distribution of Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) in India. For example, of all Canadians who arrived in India in 2022, 21.3% arrived in the first quarter (January to March), 18% in the second quarter (April to June), 20.6% in the third quarter (July to September), and 40.1% in the fourth quarter (October to December). Note: 1) Key changes and exclusions over the years: 2) 2003-2006 & 2013-2015: Hungary was not included in the report. 3) 2003-2006: Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, and Ukraine were categorized under the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). 4) 2003-2005: Argentina was not part of the dataset. 5) 2003-2008: Sudan, Iraq, and Vietnam were omitted. 6) 2007 & 2008: The Czech Republic was missing from the dataset. 7) 2006-2018: The "Others" field for the North American region was not included in the dataset. 8) From 2021 onwards: India has not formally recognized the Republic of China Taiwan as a sovereign country, and it was excluded from the dataset. 9) Additionally, from 2003 to 2011, the dataset includes two separate columns, "Others" and "Stateless," which were later combined under "Not Classified Elsewhere" using the following formula: 10) Combined Percentage for a Quarter= ((Others Arrivals × Others Percentage) + (Stateless Arrivals × Stateless Percentage)) / Total Arrivals. 11) Please note that data for the year 2009 is unavailable. NB: Since 2024, more countries and regions have been included
