The dataset contains year-, region-, gender- and age-group-wise All India compiled data on average number of meals consumed per person (rural/urban) per month at home and away from home - by payment or at free of cost at places such as school, balwadi, employment and other places. The dataset has been compiled from table nos. 2R, 2 A-R and 2 of 61st, 66th and 68th round reports, respectively, of NSS reports published in the years 2005, 2010 and 2012 Note: Values for male for the years 2023 and 2024 includes transgenders
