The dataset shows number and amount of cheque clearance of different centres of banks
Note:
1. Empty indicates Nil or Negligible
2. Cheque Truncation System (CTS) implemented in New Delhi (northern grid) , Mumbai (western grid) and Chennai (southern grid) which includes the cheque clearing volume of 66 erstwhile MICR CPCs and a few non-MICR centres which are merged with the respective Grids.
3. Southern grid (Chennai) and Northern grid (New Delhi) were merged on July 1, 2023.
4. Western grid (Mumbai) was merged with the combined grid on October 13, 2023 to form the National Grid.
