NCRB - Disposal of Cases by Police: Year and Crime Head wise Disposal of SLL Crime Cases by Police

This dataset provides year wise and crime head wise information on the police disposal of Special and Local Laws (SLL) crime cases in India. It covers a wide range of SLL crime categories including arms and explosive related acts, children related acts, crime against women related acts, environment and pollution related acts, finance and economic acts, food and essential commodities laws, foreigner and passport related acts, information technology and intellectual property laws, liquor and narcotic drugs laws, offences against the State related acts, railways related acts, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes related acts, telegraph and cinematograph acts, and other regulatory and enforcement laws. Key legislations covered include the Arms Act, Explosives Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), Dowry Prohibition Act, Information Technology Act, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), Prevention of Corruption Act, Passport Act, Wildlife Protection Act, Motor Vehicles Act, SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Protection of Civil Rights Act, Railways Act, Copyright Act, Trade Marks Act, and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The dataset includes police investigation indicators such as total cases for investigation, cases reported during the year, pending investigation from previous years, pending investigation at the end of the year, chargesheets submitted, cases chargesheeted, final reports, false cases, non cognizable cases, cases involving mistake of fact or law or civil disputes, cases with insufficient evidence, untraced or no clue cases, cases reopened for investigation, transferred, quashed, stayed, withdrawn, or not investigated, along with chargesheeting rate and pendency percentage. It enables analysis of police investigation outcomes, investigation efficiency, chargesheeting trends, and case pendency across major Special and Local Laws in India.
