NCRB - Crimes Against SCs: Year and Crime Head wise Number of Crime Cases against Scheduled Caste

This dataset provides year wise and crime head wise statistics on crime cases registered against Scheduled Castes, classified by detailed crime heads under the Indian Penal Code, the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955. It covers offences such as murder, attempt to commit murder, grievous hurt, simple hurt, criminal intimidation, rioting, robbery, dacoity, arson, kidnapping and abduction including kidnapping for ransom, marriage, murder or begging, rape and attempt to rape, assault on women including sexual harassment, voyeurism, stalking and disrobing, insult to the modesty of women, land dispossession, social boycott, obstruction of public access, and other atrocities specific to Scheduled Castes. The "Crime/Atrocities against Scheduled Castes" is the sum of "Total of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (With and Without IPC)" and "Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955."
