It includes motives such as political reasons, communalism, caste based violence, honour killing, dowry, personal enmity, illicit relationships, robbery or dacoity, rape, kidnapping and abduction, terrorist violence, gang rivalry, sale of body parts, witchcraft, and blind murders where motive is not known.
