NCRB - Crimes Against Children: Year, Crime Head and Gender wise Number of Crime Cases against Children in Metropolitan Cities by Court Disposal

This dataset provides year, crime head, and gender wise information on the number of crime cases against children in India’s metropolitan cities by court disposal status. It includes major offences such as POCSO Act violations, kidnapping and abduction, murder, human trafficking, child labour, cybercrimes, and sexual offences, categorised by gender of the victims. Court disposal categories cover cases convicted, acquitted, compounded, withdrawn, stayed, quashed, or pending trial, along with pendency percentage and conviction rate. The dataset offers a comprehensive view of the judicial processing and outcomes of crimes against children under both the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Special & Local Laws (SLL).
