Global Forest Cover and Changes: Year- and Country-wise Extent of Area under Primary Forest, and Special Category Forest viz. Bamboo, Mangroves, and Rubber

The dataset contains year- and country-wise global data on extent of land under primary forest, and special category forests such as bamboo, mangrove, rubber wood, temporarily unstocked and/or recently regenerated Note: The UN defines primary and special category forests as under: Primary Forest: Naturally regenerated forest of native tree species, where there are no clearly visible indications of human activities and the ecological processes are not significantly disturbed. Bamboos: Forest area with predominant bamboo vegetation. Mangroves: Forest and other wooded land with mangrove vegetation. Temporarily unstocked and/or recently regenerated: Forest area which is temporarily unstocked or with trees shorter than 1.3 meters that have not yet reached but are expected to reach a canopy cover of at least 10 percent and tree height of at least 5 meters
