Year, Quarter, Region, Gender, and State wise Average Wage Earnings per day from casual labour work other than public works in CWS
This dataset presents the average daily wage earnings from casual labor work, excluding public works, based on each state and union territories Current Weekly Status (CWS). The data is sourced from the PLFS, highlighting the daily income levels of casual laborers outside public employment. For 2023-24, Chandigarh's entire area has been considered urban for this survey. Before 2019-20, Ladakh was part of Jammu and Kashmir, and since 2020-21, Daman and Diu have been merged with Dadra and Nagar Haveli to form the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
NB: Survey years previously followed a July–June cycle (e.g., 2023–24 refers to July 2023–June 2024). From 2025 onward, data is reported on a calendar-year basis (January–December). Further, there is no quarterly data in the 2025 report.
