Police: Year- and State-wise Number of Sanctioned and Actual Police, and Vehicles Available

The dataset contains year- and state-wise data on number of actual and sanctioned police in each state and number of transport vehicles available. The different types of policemen covered in the dataset include civil, armed, indian reserve battalion and district armed reserve police Note: The categorization of police given across years is not uniform in the raw data. From 2012 to 2017, the actual and sanctioned police were categorized as Civil and Armed Police, from 2018 to 2019, it is categorized as given as Civil, Armed and District Armed Reserve Police, and from 2020 to 2022, it is categorized as Civil, Armed, Indian Reserved Battalion and District Armed Reserve Police. In the dataset, these different nomenclatures as uniformly represented Civil, Armed and Reserve Police
