Year-, Month- and State-wise Total Cargo Handled at Major and Minor Ports in India
High Frequency Indicator: The dataset contains year-, month- and state-wise compiled data from the year 2018 to till date on total amount of cargo (coastal/overseas) handled by major and minor ports of India such as Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Deendayal Port Authority (Kandla Port Trust), New Mangalore Port, V. O. Chidambaranar Port, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, etc.
Note:
1. The cargo handled data collected for minor ports is not by each port, but all the minor ports combined together for each particular state.
2. For data on minor ports, the ministry of shipping has either provided the names of ports as state names or by the particular institute by which the ports are run. Accordingly, the names of minor ports are given in the dataset as they are given in the raw data.
