State-wise and Year-wise annual groundwater recharge and annual extractable groundwater, along with the annual groundwater extraction and stage of extraction.

This dataset contains the details of the groundwater situation in India. It includes annual extractable ground water quantity, available groundwater level, stage of extraction, number of assessment units surveyed in each state, and the percentage of over-exploited,critical, semi-critical, safe and saline units in each state. Note: Based on the stage of Ground water extraction, the units are classified into four categories- 1. if stage of extraction is >100%, then unit is classified as "Over-Exploited" 2. if it is >90% and <=100%, then "Critical" 3. if it is >70% and <=90%, then "Semi-Critical" 4. if it is <=70%, then the units are classified as "Safe"
