Master Data: Year and Type-wise Consequential Train Accidents on Indian Railways

This dataset contains the details about the consequential train accidents due to collisions, derailments, accidents at level crossings, fire and miscellaneous accidents Note: 1. The Data is only consequential train accidents and excludes Konkan Railways 2. Number of consequential train accidents reduced during the financial year 2020-21 due to reduced train traffic because of Covid pandemic 3. Accidents at level crossings includes both manned and unmanned level crossings 4. Consequential train accidents are those having serious repercussion in terms of loss of human life, human injury, loss to Railway property or interruption to Rail traffic. Collision, Fire, Level crossing, Derailment and Miscellaneous accidents will be termed as consequential train accidents
