Year and State-wise Forests Cover of the country

Data in table tells us about the year-wise state wise forest cover of the country. Table specifies the year, Geographical Area, Actual Forest Cover, Dense ( Very dense or moderately dense), Open Forest, Mangrove, Scrub and the exact Non Forest area for all the States and Union territories of India. Note: 1) The term Dense Forest was in use till SFR 2001. 2) Value for Andhra Pradesh: Value includes forest cover of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh 3) Data not reported entirely for some States and UTs.
