NCRB - Crimes Against SCs: Year and Crime Head wise Number of Crime Cases against Scheduled Caste by Police Disposal in Metropolitan Cities

This dataset presents year wise, city wise, and crime head wise information on police investigation and disposal of cases registered under crimes against Scheduled Castes in India's metropolitan cities. It includes offences under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Protection of Civil Rights Act, and relevant IPC sections such as murder, rape, kidnapping and abduction, grievous hurt, assault on women, robbery, dacoity, and other atrocities. Police disposal categories include cases reported during the year, cases pending investigation from previous year, total cases for investigation, cases chargesheeted, chargesheets submitted during the year and from previous years, chargesheeting rate, cases abated during investigation, cases ended as false, mistake of fact or law or civil dispute, non cognizable cases, cases true but insufficient evidence or untraced, cases quashed or stayed at investigation stage, cases transferred to other states or agencies, cases withdrawn by the government, cases not investigated under section 157(1)(b) CrPC, cases reopened for investigation, total cases disposed, and cases pending at the end of the year. The "Crime/Atrocities against Scheduled Castes" is the sum of "Total of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (With and Without IPC)" and "Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955."
