This dataset provides year wise and state wise actual strength of women jail officers and staff in prisons. Staff includes correctional staff (Probation Officer/Welfare Officer, Psychologist/Psychiatrist, Social Worker & Others), jail cadre staff (Head Warder/Head Matron, Warder and Matron), medical (Lab Technician/Lab Attendant, Pharmacists, Resident Medical Officer/Medical Officer) and ministerial staff (Officers). Officers include Director General of Police (DG), Additional Director General of Police (Addl. DG), Inspector General of Police (IG), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Superintendent of Police (Supdt.), Deputy Superintendent of Jail (Dy.SP), Jailor, Deputy Jailor (Dy. Jailor), Assistant Jailor (Asst. Jailor), and Assistant Superintendent (Asst. Supdt.)
