NCRB - Kidnapping and Abduction: Year, Victim Type, Gender and Purpose wise Distribution of Kidnapping and Abduction Victims

This dataset presents year wise distribution of kidnapped and abducted victims by victim type, gender, and purpose of kidnapping and abduction. Purposes include for ransom, for murder, for marriage, for illicit intercourse, for prostitution, for begging, for adoption, for domestic servitude, for forced labour or slavery, for sale, for selling body parts, for recovery of loans, for revenge, family disputes, land or property disputes, unlawful activities, camel racing, wrongful confinement, and other motives. It also includes total kidnapped and abducted victims and total recovered alive, offering insights into the underlying motives behind kidnapping and abduction incidents.
