NCRB - Violent Crimes: Year, State, and City wise Number of Violent Crimes Committed, Chargesheeting Rate, and Crime Rate in India

This dataset provides year, state and city wise statistics on violent crimes in India along with the corresponding crime rate and chargesheeting rate. It covers serious offences under the Indian Penal Code including murder (Sec.302 IPC), culpable homicide not amounting to murder (Sec.304 IPC), attempt to commit murder (Sec.307 IPC), attempt to commit culpable homicide (Sec.308 IPC), grievous hurt (Sec.325, 326, 326A and 326B IPC), kidnapping and abduction (Sec.363 to 369 IPC), rape (Sec.376 IPC), attempt to commit rape (Sec.376 read with 511 IPC), dowry deaths (Sec.304B IPC), infanticide (Sec.315 IPC), foeticide (Sec.316 IPC), rioting (Sec.147 to 151 and 153A IPC), robbery (Sec.392 to 394 IPC), dacoity (Sec.395 to 398 IPC), arson (Sec.435 to 438 IPC), and total violent crimes. The dataset also includes crime rate based on population and chargesheeting rate reflecting police investigation outcomes across metropolitan cities and states.
