The dataset contains Year and State wise Gross Enrolment Ratio
Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) is the total enrolment in a specific level of education regardless of age expressed as a percentage of the official school-age population for that level. It can exceed 100% due to early or late enrolments and grade repetition. GER is commonly used to measure the overall participation in education.
Note:
1. From the year 2022-23 the values pertain to the NEP 2020 framework. Under this framework, schooling has been restructured into Foundational (Pre-school + Grades 1–2), Preparatory (Grades 3–5), Middle (Grades 6–8), and Secondary (Grades 9–12)
2. Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) is calculated using Pre-Primary enrolments in recognized schools as reported by States/UTs, it excludes for Anganwadi enrolments and enrolments in standalone Private Pre-Primary Schools
