Year and State wise Capital Receipts, Capital Expenditure, Capital Outlay and Social Sector Expenditure

The dataset contains Year and State wise Capital Receipts, Capital Expenditure, Capital Outlay and Social Sector Expenditure Capital Expenditure: Capital Expenditure refers to the funds used by the government to acquire, maintain, or upgrade physical assets such as infrastructure, buildings, machinery, or equipment. These expenditures create assets that have a long-term utility and are expected to yield benefits over many years. Capital Outlay: Capital Outlay is a subcategory of Capital Expenditure, specifically referring to the actual spending on the creation of physical assets. It includes expenditure that results in the acquisition or construction of fixed assets and infrastructure.While all capital outlay is capital expenditure, not all capital expenditure is capital outlay. For instance, capital transfers to PSUs are capital expenditure but not capital outlay. Social Sector Expenditure: Social Sector Expenditure refers to government spending on programs and services aimed at improving the quality of life and promoting social welfare. It typically includes spending on health, education, social welfare, housing, and sanitation. Note: 1. Minus sign (-) indicates surplus in deficit indicator. 2. Figures in respect of Jammu & Kashmir relate to revised estimates from 2004-05 to 2009-10. 3. Figures in respect of Manipur relate to revised estimates from 2004-05 to 2008-09. 4. Figures in respect of Jharkhand relate to revised estimates from 2004-05 to 2010-11 5. The data includes the Revised Estimates for 2023–24 and the Budget Estimates for 2024–25 6. Figures in respect of Bihar relate to revised estimates from 1990-91 to 1994-95 and 1999-2000 to 2003-04. 7. Figures in respect of Jammu and Kashmir relate to revised estimates from 1990-91 to 1997-98 and 2001-2002 to 2003-04. 8. Figures in respect of Nagaland relate to revised estimates from 1990-91 to 2001-2002. 9. Figures in respect of Manipur relate to revised estimates for 1990-91 and 2001-2002 to 2003-04. 10.
