Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: Year-, Month- and State-wise Total Number of Accounts and Amount Deposited

The dataset contains year-, month-and state-wise compiled data on the total number of accounts and the total amount deposited with the banks and department of posts under the sukanya samriddhi yojana (SSY) scheme. The SSY is small deposit scheme meant exclusively for girl children under the age group of 10 years. Under the same scheme, a parent or legal guardian of a girl child can open bank account on girl's behalf and deposit an amount of Rs. 250 to 1,50,000 per year. The deposit can be made up to the maturity period of 21 years, which is when the girl child will become eligible to draw deposited money with interest rate as specified by the government.
