NCRB: Year and State wise incidence of cases related to Sedition, Sec 152 BNS, and UAPA

The dataset contains year wise and state wise incidence of crimes under Section 124A IPC (Sedition, till 2023), Section 152 BNS (Acts endangering sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India, since 2024) and UAPA. The data is collated from annual Crime In India Reports published by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). Along with incidence of crime reported, the data also includes the number of victims and the rate of crime. Note: Under the New Criminal Laws "Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS)," Sedition is deleted. However, it has been replaced and reframed under Section 152 BNS as "Acts endangering sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India"
