As of September 30, 2020, figures related to the enhanced ₹5 lakh deposit insurance coverage—estimated at ₹68.7 trillion—are also provided. This follows the increase in deposit insurance cover from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh, which came into effect on February 4, 2020.
