Master Data: Women in Union Council of Ministers (1952 to Till Date)

This dataset contains Lok Sabha term-wise women council of ministers in the Union Cabinet. It also has other information about ministers like political party they represent, their portfolio and term, date of birth, etc. Note: Each portfolio & designation held by a person is treated as an individual data point in this dataset. For instance, if a person held 3 different portfolios during a single term, it is treated as 3 different ministers during that term. Over time, the names of some ministries have changed and certain other ministries have been merged. For the purpose of this dataset, the names of old ministries/departments have been modified to reflect the current structure of the Union Ministries. For instance, any portfolio with ‘Commerce’ is modified to ‘Commerce & Industry’, and any portfolio with ‘Health’ is modified to ‘Health & Family Welfare’.
