The dataset contains Year-, region- and gender-wise All India compiled data on distribution (per thousand) of persons of age group of 5 years and above by literacy rate and by their social groups such as scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), other backwards classes (OBC) and other castes, during the period of 2005 to 2012.
