Since 2016, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has published the annual Handbook of Statistics on Indian States, providing a comprehensive time series of socio-economic data. It covers sub-national statistics on demographics, health, state economy, agriculture, environment, prices, wages, industry, infrastructure, banking, and fiscal indicators across Indian states, with data spanning from 1951. This Collection contains datasets on year and state-wise insights into industrial and economic metrics in India, including the number of factories, investments, capital formation, value addition, employment, and production in medium and small-scale industries. It also covers details on working capital, physical capital, emoluments, input-output values, and total persons engaged.
